LIDO Festival: A Greener Future for Live Music

We’re incredibly proud to share that LIDO Festival has received Highly Commended accreditation from A Greener Future (AGF), hitting another impressive milestone in the festival’s inaugural year.

Sustainability was central to AEG Presents UK’s newest festival from day one.
Highlights included a battery-powered main stage hosting Massive Attack and Charli xcx, a full veggie & vegan day, significant reductions in fuel use through batteries, grid and green hydrogen, and surplus food donations helping deliver hundreds of meals to charities.

AGF certification involves a rigorous process, including detailed self-assessment, independent site visits, and post-event evidence reviewed through an auditors’ report. The AGF Framework covers 11 key areas, from local environment & community to travel, food, energy, water, materials, EDI and governance.

LS Events is proud to have played a central role in the delivery of LIDO’s ambitious sustainability goals in collaboration with AGF and our supplier network who contributed their expertise to this landmark event including Proper Productions Ltd, Grid Faeries, Ecotricity, Pearce Hire, Greener Power Solutions, GeoPura, KB Event, London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Nu Group FM Limited, Every Can Counts and Waste Baling Machines Wales.
