LS Events Enjoy International Festival Forum (IFF) from both sides of the stage

Since launching in 2015, IFF has brought the music festival sector’s principal buyers and sellers together for networking, showcases and conference sessions. This year’s invitation only event took place in September, with 1000 delegates attending the 10th edition.

LS Events had the privilege of supporting the event from both sides of the stage this year, with our Projects Co-Ordinator Alex Ridgers providing Event Production and Operational support to the conference. Having supported the delivery of ILMC for the past two years, Alex has a great understanding of the detail driven nature of industry conferences as he explains;

“The logistics of this event are complex and the production standards are incredibly high. Whether we’re changing content, dealing with install related matters, liaising with suppliers, the venue, site crew, each minute of the IFF conference was curated and accounted for. It’s been non-stop and absolutely jam-packed with workshops, showcases and creative content for delegates to enjoy. A fantastic experience from start to finish and great to see how LS Events vision of event excellence was shared by the organisers and amplified in every touchpoint of the event.”

Meanwhile, LS Events Senior Projects Managers Laura Armstrong and Jess Noakes enjoyed the IFF experience as invited guests. “It was a fantastic experience, connecting with event partners, clients and new introductions from both the UK and the international circuit”, explains Jess. “I found the ‘Championing Change: Enhancing Black participation at festivals and events’ session truly insightful and it was great to hear the panel discussing tangible, real steps that organisations can take to increase opportunity in the many sectors of the events industry. From industry-led schemes to encourage Black production professionals, to festivals embracing and promoting Black and Brown music or ensuring that Black art runs through their DNA, there’s clearly so much more that can be done.”
