The Show Must Go On: Collaborative Action for the Future of Live Events

LS Events Senior Site Manager Suzanne Johnson joined industry pioneers at the House of Commons for the landmark launch of The Show Must Go On (SMGO) – Edition 3, unveiled by Vision for Sustainable Events and Julie's Bicycle.

This third edition represents a powerful, industry-wide collaboration across the UK’s outdoor live events sector, setting out a clear and credible route map to lower emissions.

For LS Events, being part of this conversation isn’t optional, it’s essential. As a company operating at the heart of live outdoor events, we have both the responsibility and the opportunity to help shape a more sustainable future for our industry. Supporting initiatives like SMGO ensures we’re not only adapting to change, but actively helping to lead it.

By encouraging our team to share their expertise, contribute insights and engage with cross-sector partners, we strengthen the collective action needed to achieve Net Zero goals. Real progress happens when suppliers, organisers and policymakers move forward together and we’re proud to stand alongside those driving that change.

Suzanne reflected: “It was inspiring to be surrounded by the pioneers and Green Leaders driving our industry forward. With Government backing, we are forging a clear path toward Net30, and it’s clear that our collective action will make a profound difference in the years to come.”

Because shaping the future of live events means showing up, speaking up, and working together to make it happen.
