Supporting the Vision 2030 Climate Pledge for a Sustainable UK Live Events Industry

This Earth Day, we are proud to announce our support for the Vision 2030 Climate Pledge. We are joining a collective movement working towards a 50% reduction in the UK live event industry's emissions by 2030.

At LS Events, we are proud to be at the forefront of delivering festivals and large-scale outdoor experiences that prove ambitious environmental goals are achievable today.

Our approach is rooted in community, creativity, and measurable environmental action. Across every project, we focus on reducing power demand, minimising waste, cutting carbon, and embedding sustainable practices into event design and delivery. We don’t see sustainability as a bolt-on; it is an integral part of how we plan, produce, and collaborate.

We operate in line with ISO 20121, the International Standard for Sustainable Events Management, and ISO 14001, the International Standard for Environmental Management. The monitoring and measuring required by these standards ensure that we consistently strive for best practice, delivering events that uphold the highest level of sustainability and environmental management.

A defining example of this commitment in 2025 was our work on LIDO Festival, delivered in partnership with AEG Presents. Tasked with making it London’s most sustainable festival, we embraced the challenge of delivering a first-of-its-kind event that pushed the boundaries of what is possible. Read the full case study here.

Our commitment to action:

LS Events has committed to supporting our clients in working towards 30 practical climate actions—as outlined in the recently published Show Must Go On report—to help drive the transition toward a more sustainable sector. These measures span event energy, travel and transport, waste and materials, and food and drink.

The future of live events depends on the actions we take today. We encourage event organisers to join us in this movement.
